Operating Instructions

Nreal Air

This page is for changing the firmware on the Nreal Air.

Please follow the step-by-step instructions.

Connect the glasses to your computer. Your computer screen might flash.

If you experience any issues during the update, try disconnecting the glasses and refreshing the page to start over.

Notes

Please make sure your browser is Google Chrome (version 89 or later) or Edge (version 89 or later).

Please make sure that only one pair of Nreal glasses are connected to your laptop during the update. Do not connect multiple glasses, or Nreal glasses and Nreal Adapter at the same time.

Change Firmware

1. Download the firmware

Choose the version you want to run on your glasses. Please don't rename the file. You don't need to open it.

2. Connect your glasses to view/change firmware

This page must be opened before plugging in your glasses.
You should see "Air Glasses" on the device list, if you see "Nreal Air" you need to unplug and refresh this page then plug in your glasses.


3. Select the downloaded firmware file

Please make sure to select the firmware downloaded in Step 1, and click on "Open".

During the update, please keep the current page open and avoid disconnecting your glasses.
Please be sure to update the MCU firmware before updating the DP firmware, and that both updates are completed. Otherwise, the glasses might not function properly.
During the update, your screen might flash or black out. Please wait.


4. MCU firmware update

Please select the firmware file in Step 3 before updating.
A window will appear, please select your glasses from the device list and click on "Connect".
Your screen might flash or black out. Please wait.

5. DP firmware update

Before proceeding, unplug and replug your glasses.

Please choose the file in Step 3 before updating if not already selected.

If a popup appears, please select "Nreal Air" from the list and click on "Connect".
